Valéry Augustin is the founding principal of DNA A+D, a Los Angeles based architecture and design firm specializing in distinct residential, commercial, CIVIC, and hospitality projects, exhibition design, and urban sustainability research.

Actively engaged in the design profession as a practitioner and educator, he is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Southern California School of Architecture. Valéry's work has been exhibited at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in North Carolina, the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., and galleries in Los Angeles and Miami. He has served as a symposium panelist, lecturer, and competition juror in Los Angeles and at institutions across the U.S.

Prior to establishing DNA A+D, Valéry was a designer at a number of internationally recognized firms including Frederick Fisher and Partners Architects in Los Angeles, Swanke Hayden Connell Architects in London, and Oppenheim Architecture and Design in Miami. His professional experience encompasses a diverse range of project types including museums, airports, galleries, restaurants, multi-family housing developments, and single-family homes.

Valéry is a licensed architect in California, Florida and Texas. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles Department of Architecture and Urban Design.

NICHOLAS S. COLEMAN

Nicholas S. Coleman received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California. He continued his studies by obtaining a Master of Architecture from Yale University, where he studied under Peter Eisenman and Robert A.M. Stern. After a two-year stint in Chicago with HBRA Architects, where he worked on large university projects, a federal courthouse, and single-family residences, Nicholas returned to his native Southern California and joined DNA A+D. While the warmer weather gives him the opportunity to display his extensive bow-tie collection on a day-to-day basis, his fair-isle sweaters haven't gotten much use. Nick is a licensed architect in the State of California.

LAUREN M. CAPUANO

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Lauren Capuano joined DNA A+D from Chicago where she received her architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Passionate about the built environment, Lauren's interests include interiors, material expression in architecture and adaptive reuse. A former college athlete, Ms. Capuano is an avid sports fan and never misses an opportunity to see her beloved St. Louis Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Dodgers..
